According to a claim in the Danish media, Tottenham Hotspur didn’t come in with an offer for FC Copenhagen midfielder Victor Froholdt, because they ‘undoubtedly’ felt a £5m valuation was too high.
The Premier League side have been watching the 19-year-old as he’s come through the FC Copenhagen youth system, but after impressing this season it seems Spurs will not be able to sigh him on the cheap this summer.
Tipsbladet have reported on Tottenham’s interest in the central midfielder and said an offer was never made when the claims were at their peak in 2024. The Danish club valued their played at around £5m, and Spurs believed it was too high.
Since then, the Denmark international has made a ‘great breakthrough’ with his club and his value is now put at £15-20m. There are no reports if Tottenham would be prepared to meet this valuation.
Froholdt has already made 52 appearances for FC Copenhagen, scoring two goals. He’s contracted to the Danish side until 2028 after extending his deal earlier this year.
