Last Friday, Record explained Tottenham Hotspur have scheduled a meeting with Sporting this week to discuss a deal to sign Pedro Porro in January.
It was also stated the Eagles will continue to refer to the player’s €45m release clause, which Spurs have refused to pay so far.
FcInterNews claim Tottenham have offered €35m to be paid in three instalments for Porro, while Sporting keep insisting on the clause.
There is no agreement in place between the two clubs and if the negotiation drags on for Porro, Tottenham chief Fabio Paratici could turn his attention towards Inter Milan’s Denzel Dumfries.
The Netherlands international is also on Chelsea’s agenda, but they have not presented an offer to the Serie A side so far.
Rafaela Pimenta, the right wing-back’s agent, is in London and the report states she could ‘deepen the talks’ with Tottenham about her client.
If the negotiations between Spurs and Sporting for Porro were to end, Antonio Conte’s side would look at Dumfries and then put the Nerazzurri’s ‘resistance to the test’.
Inter value the Dutchman at €50m but would be ready to consider an offer of €40m for him.
