There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Trabzonspor are looking to sign Southampton attacker Kamaldeen Sulemana in this transfer window.

The Trabzon side want to sign a wide attacking player before the deadline and their manager Şenol Güneş is keen to bring in the Southampton player.

Fotospor today report on Trabzonspor’s interest in Sulemana, and they say the Super Lig side are in first round of talks to sign the winger. The two clubs are familiar with each other following their negotiations over Paul Onuachu in the summer.

It’s claimed a loan offer has already come in from the Turkish giants, but this was instantly rejected by Southampton. The youngster has been a repeatedly used player for the Premier League side this season and it’s very unlikely they’d part ways with him in this window without a good fee.

However, reports say Trabzonspor haven’t given up on signing the Ghanaian and are likely to make another attempt. Super Lig sides have until February 11th to get transfer business concluded, one week after the Premier League window closes.

Sulemana has made 14 appearances for Southampton this season, scoring one goal. The 22-year-old is contacted to the Saints until June 2027.
