Celtic are keen on signing Randers FC’s Tammer Bany in the winter market. That’s at least what Tipsbladet are reporting, and they state Brendan Rodgers’ side are among several clubs in the mix.

The forward arrived at the Danish club from Boldklubben af 1893 in February 2024 and managed two goals and six assists from 24 games so far.

Bany’s performances and profile would have seen him generate ‘great interest’ from Celtic and several other clubs.

At the start of this month, Royale Union Saint-Gilloise and Swiss side FC Lausanne-Sport both had bids rejected for the 21-year-old. The report states the Belgian club offered 10m kroner [€1.35m].

There are now several clubs ‘swarming around’ Randers, ‘specifically’ Celtic and Nantes. In addition to these two clubs, OH Leuven, Egypt’s Al Ahli and Rakow Częstochowa are showing interest in Bany.

According to Tipsbladet, several of these clubs have made contact with his agent. They haven’t specified the Scottish champions, but they are likely to have made an approach for the attacker.

Randers haven’t yet received any offers for the player, while their sporting director, Søren Pedersen, hasn’t closed the door on his exit.

“The plan is that Rasmus [Bertelsen, manager] will also have him available when we start again,” he said.

“But obviously he’s one of those who’s had a lot of activity around and there are still clubs who are interested, so I wouldn’t say I’m 100% sure he’ll be here when the window closes in, but the ambition is that he stays.”

Randers sold Filip Bundgaard and Mads Enggård for 20m kroner [€2.7m] each and the report states they need a fee in this region to sell Bany.
