Watford’s Cucho Hernández spent the 2019/20 season on loan at RCD Mallorca, where he managed five goals and an assist in 22 league appearances. Prior to that, the Colombian spent two years on loan at SD Huesca.
Wednesday’s edition of AS explains Huesca ‘work on the return’ of the 21-year-old this summer.
They finished top of the Segunda División and this means a return to La Liga. Their summer transfer plans include signing the Hornets forward.
Hernández scored 20 goals and contributed nine assists during his time at Huesca.
AS state the Spanish side view the Watford player as ‘one of the footballers who has shown the most potential in the club’s history’.
However, Huesca are not the only suitor for the attacker and there are other clubs interested. The newspaper doesn’t provide details of other interested parties.
On August 2nd, both Mundo Deportivo and Diario de Navarra explained CA Osasuna have identified Hernández as a summer target.
Less than a week later, Mundo reported Granada’s interest in the South American. It was also explained the La Liga side have intensified contacts with the Hornets for signing him.
Speaking to Gol Caracol, Hernández has expressed his desire to continue in Spain.
It remains to be seen where he will end up this summer.
