Wednesday evening claims from Calciomercato mentioned that Sampdroia and Southampton have reached an agreement for the transfer Manolo Gabbiadini.

The striker will rejoin his former club initially on a loan deal, which will be made permanent next summer and the Saints will collect €12m from his sale next summer.

It ‘s explained the player will travel to Milan on Thursday and make another short trip to Genoa on Friday to undergo medical tests with Marco Giampaolo’s side before completing a return to Stadio Luigi Ferraris, four years after he left the club to join Napoli.

If the latest reports coming out of Italy are to be believed, Gabbiadini will end his time with Southampton and seal a switch to Sampdoria in the winter market.
