Philippe Clement’s Rangers and Daniel Farke’s Leeds United have joined the race for Josh Doig and both clubs could make efforts to try and sign the Hellas Verona player.
According to L’Equipe, Rangers and the Whites have joined Marseille and Torino in the chase for the left-back.
The Ligue 1 side are focusing on strengthening the left side of their defence and have their eyes set on the 21-year-old. They would have to battle it out with Philippe Clement’s side, Leeds and Torino for his signature.
As it stands, Marseille president Pablo Longoria hasn’t sent an offer to secure the Scotland U21 international’s services.
The French club failed to sign Doig’s club teammates, Darko Lazović and Ivan Ilić, last summer. Therefore, the Marseille leaders are now cautious when dealing for the fullback, who has mainly been used as a left wing-back this season.
Rangers and Daniel Farke’s side both seem to keen on the player and could offer him an opportunity to return to the UK.
Doig joined the Serie A side from Hibernian in 2022 and signed a deal until 2026. He’s made 35 appearances, out of which 13 are from this season.
