There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Rangers have rejected another offer from Besiktas to sign left back Rıdvan Yılmaz.
There’s been endless reports in this transfer window that Rangers could offload the Turkey international despite him getting starts under Philippe Clement in recent weeks.
Yagiz Sabuncuoglu has reported on the latest developments regrading Besiktas’ pursuit for the Rangers defender, and he says both the Scottish club and the player’s camp have rejected an offer from the Super Lig side.
The Turkish journalist says the Black Eagles have offered €1m to loan Yılmaz until the end of the season, with the option to purchase him for €3m in the summer. The 23-year-old has also reportedly turned down their personal terms, but talks are still set to continue.
Earlier today we covered reports Rangers were looking for €5m from the sale of the Turkey international after purchasing him for €4m from Besiktas in 2022. The Turkish club now have until February 11th get a deal sealed when the Super Lig window closes.
Yilmaz has made 20 appearances for Rangers this season and is contracted to the Scottish club until June 2027.
