There’s a reasonable shout that Everton’s most in-form player right now is Moise Kean, and he’s spending the season on loan at PSG.
After a great start in the Premier League, Carlo Ancelotti’s side have been struggling recently. It wasn’t so long ago they were topping the table and there was huge confidence around Goodison Park, yet now they find themselves in ninth position.
It’s far from being a disaster, and there’s plenty of time for the Italian manager to push his side forward to battle for European places this season.
Should they manage that then it’s conceivable Moise Kean will play a big role in Everton’s plans next summer, and he likely will anyway. Whether it’s bringing him back to play or hoping for a transfer auction, Kean is doing all he can to make sure he’ll be a protagonist.
Monday’s edition of L’Equipe looks at PSG’s summer signings, and it’s the loan from Everton which is currently looking best. The French newspaper use three words to describe the striker: ‘Power, efficiency, confidence.’
They then go on to say he’s shown himself to be a ‘class’ forward. Such is his impact that there’s even chatter he could keep Angel Di Maria out of the team, with Thomas Tuchel considering altering his approach to keep the Everton player in his side.
L’Equipe state Kean is ‘almost indispensable’ for PSG right now, and that shows how highly thought of he is in Paris.
