Tottenham Hotspur’s pursuit of Ansu Fati looks like it’s going to have a happy ending for Spurs relatively quickly.

Earlier on Wednesday, claims came from Spain stating the Barcelona player had chosen Tottenham over Sevilla, and it was just a case of the clubs agreeing a deal.

Then it was stated that Spurs wanted a buying option, which Barcelona weren’t too thrilled with. A compromise was suggested which would have seen the Premier League club get an option, but Barca then have a buyback clause.

It would appear the original plan has been returned to, because Cope’s Helena Condis is reporting the transfer is 99% done and will be on the basis of a straight loan.

Ange Postecoglou is said to have spoken to Ansu Fati and assured him he’ll be important at Tottenham this season.

According to the claims the move is ‘only pending the signature’ and the player can travel to London on Wednesday.

If Ansu Fati can get back to his best form then Tottenham have got themselves an exciting signing.
