It’s no secret that Chelsea have decided to have Mauricio Pochettino as their next manager, and the final details of his arrival are being negotiated as we speak.
The Argentine will return to football after a year out following his sacking at Paris Saint-Germain, and will steer Todd Boehly’s side from the summer onwards.
Talks are well on their way to make that happen, and Calciomercato.it claim on Thursday that he has made some requests and agreed to some transfers already.
They explain that Pochettino has already told Chelsea that he ‘wants to keep some players’ who have been pushed to one side by the last two managers, ‘above all Christian Pulisic’.
There’s also Romelu Lukaku, but that could entirely depend on the player himself, who wants to stay at Inter Milan if he can.
Speaking of the Serie A side, it’s also added that Pochettino has ‘already given his approval’ for the arrival of André Onana to resolve the goalkeeping crisis at Chelsea once and for all.
Therefore, it seems some movement is already being made behind the scenes to try and accommodate the manager’s requests, which don’t appear to be that extravagant for the time being.
