Clément Lenglet will return to Barcelona after spending last season on loan at Tottenham Hotspur, where he made 35 appearances, managing a goal and two assists in the process.
Spurs are keen to buy the defender in the summer window and are in talks with the La Liga side. This was confirmed by Barca president Joan Laporta last week.
Monday’s Mundo Deportivo states the 28-year-old’s transfer to Tottenham is ‘still pending’.
The Frenchman is not included in Xavi Hernández’s plans for the new season. The report explains that unlike last summer, when he was asked not to be part of the squad, he will start pre-season training.
Even though both Barcelona and Ange Postecoglou’s side were expected to agree a deal 
for the player’s transfer this week, Mundo state this could ‘take a little longer’, without providing any explanation for the delay.
