Over the past few weeks, the Italian media have covered Juventus’ interest in Manchester United’s Jadon Sancho.
The 25-year-old has been on loan at Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea over the last 18 months and has already returned to Manchester United. It’s been made clear to him that he has no future at Old Trafford and needs to find a new club.
On July 11th, Corriere dello Sport reported the winger wants to join Juve and Manchester United have accepted his wish. They also stated a move is close, but the Old Lady haven’t concluded the operation yet.
Last week, the same newspaper reported the Red Devils had sent an intermediary to close the operation with Juventus. Ruben Amorim’s side want to get rid of the winger as soon as possible.
Juve general manager Damien Comolli has been speaking to the Italian media today and Calciomercato.it have relayed his comments.
The Italian club’s official was asked about the possibility of signing the Manchester United player this summer, and he said: “I think the club is very attractive; many agents and players are calling me. After all, we are Juventus, and we want to get back to winning ways.”
“Securing Conceição’s permanence was a clear and strong decision because he can play on both fronts. We have two of the best wingers in the world, and Nico is a great player. If someone were to leave, we will consider him [Sancho].”
Borussia Dortmund are also considering bringing Sancho back to the club. Earlier today, Bild reported the attacker has already signalled to BVB of his desire to return and is ready to reduce his salary by 50% to secure a move.
