Derby County have made progress in their efforts to sign Borussia Mönchengladbach’s Oscar Fraulo in the winter market.

Two days ago, Tipsbladet stated the Championship side have agreed a deal with Gladbach to sign the 22-year-old. They also reported Fraulo is set to sign a contract until 2029 with the Rams.

He’s waiting for Derby County to sort out the final details with the Bundesliga side. There was no mention of the transfer fee or the salary that the midfielder will earn in England.

Bild relay this claim and add that the Dane is on his way to join Derby County in January.

Fraulo is currently valued at €3m by Transfermarkt. The German club, however, won’t be able to collect this fee as his contract expires next June.

According to the report, Gladbach will likely receive ‘just over €1m’ from John Eustace’s side. Bild claim this is a ‘small consolation’, considering the duration left on the Dane’s contract.

The English club’s interest isn’t new as they tried to sign him at the start of this year. He was then on loan at FC Utrecht. A year later, Derby County are now well placed to get this operation over the line quickly.
