Earlier on Friday, it was announced that AFC Bournemouth would be meeting with Nicolo Zaniolo’s agents to try and convince the player to swap Rome for the south of England.
This came after AS Roma had accepted the bid from the Premier League side, which was said to be of around €30m with 10% of a future sale included.
There were some reservations from the player, and that’s why some members of Bournemouth decided to travel to hold a meeting to see if they could change his mind.
Unfortunately, that hasn’t been the case, as TuttoMercatoWeb report the player has said ‘no’ to a move to the Vitality Stadium in January.
Despite Bournemouth putting the player at the ‘heart of their project’, it wasn’t enough to convince the Italy international to change clubs.
With that offer rejected, the belief is that the player is now ‘destined to stay at Roma’ unless a club like Milan come back with a new effort.
Tottenham, having signed Arnaut Danjuma, appear to have moved on, while other clubs were put off by the Italian team’s requests.
