There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Antalyaspor are the latest club to show interest in Hull City attacker Abdülkadir Ömür.
The 25-year-old is expected to leave the Championship side this summer following his struggles last season, and a return to the Super Lig looks a strong possibility.
Yagiz Sabuncuoglu reports Antalyaspor manager Emre Belözoğlu is keen on the Hull City player and wants to add him to his squad ahead of next campaign. The Antalya side finished a disappointing 15th in the league last season, and the former Newcastle United player is looking to improve his team.
It’s claimed transfer talks are underway, but at this stage there are no reports of a transfer fee or the player’s demands.
Only this week we covered reports which stated Super Lig side Kocaelispor had stepped up their pursuit for Ömüt, and that their sporting director had given his approval to sign him. Hull City owner Acun Ilıcalı will reportedly allow the winger to return to Turkey.
There have been recent claims Ömür is keen to remain in his home country after his brief loan spell at Çaykur Rizespor last season, and it seems unlikely he will return to Hull City.
He made 21 appearances for Hull City last season, and is contracted to the Tigers until June 2027.
