Liverpool have been one of the clubs that have been linked with Genoa’s Morten Frendrup over the last few months. Brighton and Brentford have also been mentioned as interested parties.

It was reported over the summer transfer window that the Reds’ interest had ‘rained down’ on the midfielder. The Bees scouted the player some days ago and the Seagulls have also carried forward with their interest.

TuttoSport today report about Liverpool’s interest for the 23-year-old Dane, stating that Frendrup has attracted attention from clubs in England.

The Reds are likely to face competition from Juventus and the report warns Liverpool about potentially losing out on the midfielder to the Serie A giants.

Juve have an excellent relationship with Genoa and that could help in a January move. They are looking to offer an initial loan dea,l with an option to buy for the player.

As of now, Genoa want a fee of €20m to let their player leave in the upcoming transfer window. That is the amount Liverpool will have to offer to sign Frendrup next month and if they want to bring him in they will have to act soon.
