Tottenham Hotspur are one of the clubs in the picture to sign Feyenoord star Santiago Giménez, according to Medio Tiempo.
The Mexico international arrived in Europe when the Eredivisie side signed him from Cruz Azul in 2022 and he played a vital role in helping them win the title last season.
Giménez has extended his fine form into this season, scoring 21 goals and registered five assists from 24 games. This has seen him attract interest from Tottenham and other clubs.
Last summer, the north London club sold star striker Harry Kane to Bayern Munich and decided against bringing in a replacement.
Spurs have signed Timo Werner on a loan deal from RB Leipzig this month and are still looking for an elite forward. This is where the 22-year-old would fit in and the report says he’s ‘among the favourites’ for Tottenham.
Ange Postecoglou’s side are showing interest in the frontman who would be an ‘ideal option’ for them. Tottenham have to be wary of competition as West Ham United and Chelsea are also interested in him.
Medio Tiempo explain that Feyenoord want to retain their star until the end of this season, meaning Tottenham and other interested clubs would have to wait until the summer to sign him.
