Emmanuel Latte Lath’s agent Matthias Veneroso has told Sportitalia that his client is currently enjoying life at Middlesbrough.
The 26-year-old is a product of Atalanta’s youth system but never made an appearance for them.
La Dea sent him out on loan between 2017 and 2023, before selling him to Middlesbrough last summer.
The striker has scored nine goals from 27 games in all competitions this season and was out of the squad for close to two months between December and February, partly due to an ankle injury he suffered against Chelsea in the EFL Cup.
Emmanuel Latte Lath has already regained full fitness and has scored twice in his last four games. His representative has revealed that the Ivory Coast player had initially found it difficult to adjust to the new environment and also to the needs of the Championship.
When Veneroso was asked how his client is doing in England, he said: “The outcome of his first season is undoubtedly positive, despite the fact that he had some initial difficulties, despite having played an excellent six months.
“The Championship is not the Premier League, it’s made up entirely of athleticism, strength, intensity. Physically I would say it’s devastating, the impact in a league like this would be an obstacle for everyone.
“However, after the first part he got hurt and came back three weeks ago, yesterday [Tuesday] he played well too and in general he’s now integrating much better having understood the league he’s in. With his 9 goals I would say the balance is positive, as I was saying.”
Michael Carrick will be hoping for him to play a role in helping Middlesbrough make it to the Play-Offs. Boro are currently ninth, trailing sixth placed Norwich City by five points.
Emmanuel Latte Lath’s deal lasts until 2027, with an option for another year.
