Eden Hazard has five goals and nine assists for Real Madrid since the start of the 2019/20 season and his struggles with injuries have reportedly convinced the La Liga side to cut ties with him.

Newcastle United have been pushed forward as a possible destination for the 30-year-old after they were acquired by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund last month.

On November 8th, Sport reported the Magpies have ‘positioned to sign’ the forward.

The Belgium international has been restricted to only five starts in all competitions for Los Blancos this season. According to ABC, the former Chelsea star is ‘last’ in Carlo Ancelotti’s options in the attacking positions.

With Vinícius Júnior and Rodrygo impressing in the wide positions, it will be difficult for Hazard to get ahead of the Brazilians, Lucas Vázquez and Marco Asensio.

Therefore, the player is ‘considering the option’ to go out in the winter market.

Luckily for Hazard, ABC state Newcastle, Chelsea and Juventus ‘value his loan’ transfer in January.

Real Madrid could let the Belgian leave, if Eddie Howe’s side or other suitors can offer favourable conditions.
