Last week, we covered claims from France which stated Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest are in the picture to sign Marseille’s Luis Henrique.
La Provence, relayed by Le10 Sport, back up the Premier League duo’s interest in the 23-year-old.
Newcastle, Nottingham Forest, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan are all keen on signing him.
The winger is ‘spoilt for choice’, with Inter and Bayern more seen as more appealing that the Magpies and Nuno Espírito Santo’s side. His contract expires in 2028, but the report says his future could be ‘far from’ the Ligue 1 side.
Journalist Niccolò Ceccarini, writing in his column for TuttoMercatoWeb, states Inter are pushing hard to sign the Brazilian.
The Nerazzurri have made advances in recent days to overcome ‘fierce competition’ from Newcastle, Nottingham Forest and Bayern.
Ceccarini claims the player said yes to Inter and they are in contact, likely with Roberto De Zerbi’s side. The Italian club’s goal is to try and secure the agreement before end of May so that he can be in the squad for the Club World Cup.
Marseille want €30-35m for Henrique, while the journalist claims Inter don’t want to offer more than €25m. This allows Newcastle or Nottingham Forest to get ahead in the transfer race by offering at least €30m to the French club.
The English clubs still have a lot to do and need to act quickly if they want to secure Henrique’s services in the summer window.
