NEC’s new coach Peter Hyballa has confirmed with the Dutch media the club are in talks with the representatives of Anthony Limbombe. The 21-year-old looks on the verge of leaving NEC, and is being tracked by a number of clubs, including Leeds United.

Speaking to De Telegraaf, Hyballa was asked about the future of his star player. He said the club are trying to find a solution to the situation with Limbombe, and that they are in talks with his agent.

However, the NEC boss revealed because he isn’t able to select the ex-Belgian youth international then he has no interest in him at the moment.

“We are searching for a solution. The club is in conversation with the Limbombe camp. Players that I don’t have at my disposal, do not interest me,” said the NEC boss.

Leeds United have been linked with the Belgian footballer in the past 12 months, and recently the Championship side put in a bid for the player. Limbombe looks to be trying to force a move out of NEC after he walked out of training last week, and is likely to find a new club this summer.

Leeds United will face competition from Club Brugge, who are keen to take him back to Belgium.
