Turkish website Fotospor claim former Manchester United winger Nani is trying to get his cousin Angel Gomes a transfer to either Fenerbahce or Besiktas.
Nani, who also played for Fenerbahce during 2015/16 season, has reportedly offered Gomes to his former club, but they have no plans to sign him.
Subsequently the Portuguese winger has offered the Manchester United player to Besiktas, via Black Eagles legend Ricardo Quaresma.
It’s reported Besiktas officials have found the offer ‘interesting’, however they need convincing more before they speak to the club’s manager Sergen Yalcin.
Besiktas scouts were reportedly watching the youngster before the Covid-19 outbreak and will soon make a decision about the 19 year old.
Gomes has yet to sign a contract extension with Manchester United and he will become a free agent in the summer if no solution is found. That may be an unlikely scenario, with rumours this week the youngster could be set to put pen to paper.
These claims from Turkey feel a little over excited, and it’s hard to believe Nani would be trying to snatch Gomes away from Old Trafford, especially if the prospect of staying is real.
