Manchester United are today thrown into the battle for Corinthians midfielder Gabriel Moscardo.

The news comes from ESPN Brasil, who covers the recent events in the pursuit of the 18-year-old.

The recent updates say that despite Chelsea’s interest in the player, it’s Paris Saint-Germain who are closer to landing him, as their director Luis Campos is going to Brazil for a meeting.

ESPN then lists clubs who made approaches for Moscardo, and for the first time, we get to see Manchester United linked.

The Red Devils are labelled as one of the sides who ‘made enquiry’ for the player, but haven’t placed a bid yet.

According to the story, Corinthians are requesting €30m for a January move. Besides Chelsea and PSG, other clubs such as Arsenal and Atletico Madrid made approaches as well.

Reports have been making it clear that the race for him is quite hot, so it shouldn’t take long until an European club win that battle.

Therefore, if Manchester United take their time before making a bid, it’s quite likely they’ll miss out on the youngster.
