Parma goalkeeper Zion Suzuki is back on Manchester United’s transfer agenda, according to TuttoMercatoWeb.

The Red Devils looked at the 22-year-old in 2023 when Erik ten Hag was in charge at Old Trafford. They ended up signing André Onana and Altay Bayındır in the same window.

In September 2023, Suzuki had revealed about rejecting Manchester United’s offer and also left the door open for a future move.

Manchester United showed interest in the stopper prior to his loan move from Urawa Red Diamonds to Sint-Truidense VV in 2023. The Belgian club exercised the purchase option and sold him to Parma last summer.

Onana hasn’t been convincing, and his frequent errors have cost the Premier League club. On Sunday, Ruben Amorim started Bayındır ahead of the former Ajax man in the 4-1 loss to Newcastle United. He hasn’t done enough so far to warrant a regular place in starting XI.

This has seen them look for options in the market and Manchester United like Suzuki to replace Onana.

TMW state the English club are ‘back on the trail’ of the 22-year-old, who has a contract until 2029. They add the ‘operation could materialise’, especially due to Onana’s performances.

According to the report, Parma value the goalkeeper at €45m and this is the fee Amorim’s side have to pay, if they want to sign him in the summer window.

Suzuki kept six clean sheets and conceded 46 goals from 31 games for Parma, who are 16th in the Serie A table.
