As Manchester City try and wrap up a deal for Josko Gvardiol, one man at the Etihad is wondering what his future holds.
That’s Aymeric Laporte, who already saw his game time reduced quite a lot last season, and will now face even more competition for a starting role, which leaves the door open for a transfer.
Juventus have taken note of this, and Corriere dello Sport have an article on the matter, especially since there’s a chance Leonardo Bonucci could leave this summer.
The newspaper explain Laporte is the new man on Max Allegri’s radar, and the belief is Manchester City’s Spain international would cost around €30m.
Not only does the manager want him, but the new director of football, Cristiano Giuntoli, has him on his ‘list of favourites’ for the centre-back role in Turin.
Therefore, there’s a feeling a deal could be struck this summer, but it all depends on the money Juventus have at their disposal, and most likely the official request from Manchester City, who, let’s not forget, initially paid €65m to sign Laporte from Athletic Club back in 2018.
