Manchester City were linked with a move for Juventus’ Andrea Cambiaso over the last few weeks.

The Citizens were expected to make an offer for the versatile full-back but it never came forward, as Pep Guardiola’s side landed Nico Gonzalez from Porto.

There is now a growing insistence from Italy that a move to Manchester City’s is not dead in the water and it will come alive in the next few months.

TuttoSport have reported today the English champions had actually ‘found an agreement’ with Juventus for Cambiaso.

They had agreed to pay €60m and bonuses and there was also an agreement over personal terms with the 24-year-old. He was ready to sign a four-year deal and was doubling his salary at the Etihad.

Due to Manchester City’s spending in the winter transfer window, the move was delayed and is why they could not come forward with an official offer.

The outlet now believe that Cambiaso will stay at Juve till the end of the FIFA Club World Cup and a move to Manchester City can potentially go through after that.

The terms of the move are likely to be similar to what was agreed in January.
