Fikayo Tomori was linked with moves to Fulham and Aston Villa over the past few weeks. The player has now been reinstated into the AC Milan project.

Amorim made key phone call

That is why his entourage was in London and negotiations with Fulham followed. But conditions weren’t there to find an agreement. The London club couldn’t agree personal terms with Tomori and faced issues agreeing a deal with Milan too.
Aston Villa’s move met a similar fate not too long ago. Tomori rejected the idea of a transfer to Birmingham, somewhat indicating a desire to stay at the Rossoneri.
Once a move to Fulham fell through, Amorim personally called the Englishman about the desire to reinstate him into the project. Tomori was the first to know and the club’s upper management shared Amorim’s desire.
Milan now believe the 28-year-old will add much-needed depth to their squad. There are no regrets that he didn’t find a new club.
