Following Wednesday’s report brought by Portuguese newspaper Record saying Tottenham Hotspur scheduled a meeting with Sporting manager Ruben Amorim, they’re now back with an update on that case.

In a shorter story this time, the outlet has some good and bad news for Spurs fans who are excited about the possibility of having the coach next season.

Starting with the good, Record says Amorim is now ‘willing to listen to’ all the arguments Tottenham have about his signing. It’s written the manager ‘already admitted’ his future is ‘open’ and will be available to analyse that possibility when the time comes.

The coach, however, isn’t getting carried away by Spurs’ interest, and is set to normally plan his future with Sporting.

According to Record, Tottenham’s chase isn’t new and Amorim won’t prioritise the meeting they’ll have.

The manager will continue his work to build the Lions’ squad for the 2023/24 as he always did in the previous summer.

It’s also claimed that Sporting’s board see the interest ‘with naturality’ given the ‘frank relationship’ they have with the manager.

It turns out that newspaper Correio da Manhã also shares a story claiming Amorim will soon have a meeting with Lions’ president Frederico Varandas about their squad.

There, he’s expected to tell the club chief about the approaches he’s been getting, which includes the one from Tottenham.
