Leicester City and Stoke City are showing an interest in Bordeaux midfielder Clement Chantome, according to claims in the French media. The former France international is expected to leave the Ligue 1 side when his contract expires this summer.
Le Foot Gazzette des Transferts have reported the two Premier sides are looking to take advantage of his current situation with Bordeaux, and subsequently could move in for the 28-year-old during the next transfer window.
Chantome is unlikely to be offered a new contract by Bordeaux after a lack of playing time in the past two seasons, and a move to England may happen.
Fellow Premier League sides Everton, Sunderland and Middlesbrough have also been linked with the former PSG man.
Chantome came thorough the PSG youth system, and made 168 Ligue 1 appearances for the French giants. During his time with PSG, Chantome won the Ligue 1 title, and also the French cup.
However, due to influx of world stars at PSG Chantome was loaned out to Toulouse in 2014 before joining Bordeaux last year. The Frenchman made his international debut in 2012, but never added to his tally.
