Angers defender Romain Thomas is attracting interest from several clubs in Europe, and could be heading to the Premier League.

On Thursday French newspaper L’Equipe claims Crystal Palace and West Bromwich are interested in signing the French defender.

There’s no mention of any offers yet for Thomas, who made 36 appearances for Angers last season.

Saint-Etienne are also interested in Thomas, as they’re looking to replace Moustapha Bayal Sall, but the Premier League sides should beat French competition, if they decide to step up their interest.

Thomas has another couple of years left on his contract, and should not cost more than €3-4m.

The 28-year-old is primarily a centre-back, and can play on either side of the defense. The player signed for Angers in 2013 on a free transfer, and has made 92 league appearances for them in three seasons.
