Leeds United have signed Oxford United forward Kemar Roofe as the Championship side continue to spend in this transfer window.
Last week the Championship side brought in Marcus Antonsson from Kalmar, and yesterday former England international Rob Green arrived at Elland Road.
The Yorkshire Evening Post say the Roofe deal is done, and he’s the sixth signing made the club this summer, as Massimo Cellino has another shot at promotion.
Leeds United and Oxford United held talks this morning to finalise the move, and 23-year-old has now agreed to a four year deal. Leeds United have been working hard on the deal, and have wanted to bring in Roofe for some time.
Roofe came through the West Bromwich Albion youth system, but never made a senior appearance for the club. The forward has had loan spells with the likes of Northampton Town and Colchester United before getting a permanent move to Oxford United last year.
Roofer scored 18 goals in 40 league games when he joined Oxford United from WBA. The player grabbed the headlines last season after his two goals helped Oxford United knock out Swansea City in the FA Cup.
