Leeds United owned midfielder Ouasim Bouy has told the Spanish media he’s content to be playing for Cultural Leonesa next season.

The 24 year old this week signed for the Championship side, but was instantly loaned out to the Spanish club.

Speaking to AS, the Leeds United signed player was asked his thoughts on playing for Cultural Leonesa next season: “For me it’s very important because I know the team project and the organisation and I really like it. I’m a traditional midfielder.”

In recent weeks Leeds United ties with the Aspire academy have been a talking point in the Spanish media. The Qatari based organisation own the majority of Cultural Leonesa, which has led to Bouy being sent there on loan.

Leeds United recently brought in Aspire director Ivan Bravo as an advisor to the club’s board, with suggestions the English side are now falling under the Aspire umbrella. Those suggestions have been stronger in Spain than in the English media.

More players from Leeds United are expected to be sent on loan to Spain in the future, as their relationship with Aspire grows.
