Leeds United’s Crysencio Summerville has ended up on Bayer Leverkusen’s agenda for the summer window.
That’s according to this week’s edition of SportBild, and they mention the Leeds winger when discussing the Bundesliga side’s plans to reshape their squad for next season.
Bayer Leverkusen sporting director Simon Rolfes has been looking at England, France, Portugal and Italy for reinforcements. He’s searching for players who are ‘technically and tactically well trained’ and suit Xabi Alonso’s style.
From England, only the Leeds player is mentioned as he’s ‘currently a candidate’ for the German club to bolster their attack.
Alonso’s side, who are very close to winning the title, aim to keep most of their squad intact, and add a few additions in the next window. For the wide positions, the 22-year-old is one of the options, along with Caen’s 17-year-old Tidiam Gomis.
Last week, the Dutchman hinted that he sees his future in the Premier League and hopes to return to the top division with Leeds next season.
This may make it difficult for the German club to take the attacker away from Elland Road, provided the Championship side are promoted back to the Premier League.
That’s very much key, because there’s no way he’ll turn down Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen, and Champions League football, to remain in the Championship.
