As the race for Lens midfielder Seko Fofana seems to be heating up, we now see claims saying that two new Premier League clubs want his signing.

The information is brought by Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna, who claims that Leeds United and Newcastle United both have ‘real interest’ in the 26-year-old.

The Magpies seem to be a little more advanced than the Whites in their chase, as according to the report, the St. James Park’s side are currently the ‘most interested club’.

Aouna also claims that contrary to recent reports, Lens ‘did not receive any offers’ for Fofana just yet, so the race for his signing seems open for now.

By talking about the claims of offers, the reporter is likely to be referring to today’s reports which said Burnley had submitted a €17m bid for the player.

Aouna even writes that the Clarets are one of the clubs who are interested in the signing, but according to his information, none of those Premier League sides have made that kind of attempt yet.
