Cesc Fabregas has been added to RB Leipzig’s list of potential managerial appointments alongside Sheffield Wednesday’s Danny Rohl and Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner.

That’s according to journalist Philipp Hinze, who reports that the former Premier League star, currently manager at Como, now finds himself on the list at the German side.

Leipzig are on the hunt for Marco Rose’s replacement, with an appointment expected in the summer transfer window.

Various names have been linked with the job over the course of the last week including Crystal Palace’s Glasner and Sheffield Wednesday boss Rohl, who is highly thought of in his homeland.

Hinze now reports that Fabregas is another concrete option alongside the Crystal Palace and Sheffield United managers.

They appear to be the three names on the list, with Hinze ruling out Matthias Jaissle and Brentford’s Thomas Frank as unrealistic targets at this point. The Bees boss, for his part, is believed to not consider Leipzig as the next step in his career.

Whether that’s the case for Glasner, Rohl and Fabregas remains to be seen, but they are the current three-man shortlist for the job.
