Leeds United have been working on signing Udinese’s Jaka Bijol this summer.

Two days ago, Gianluca Di Marzio reported the Serie A club rejected the Whites’ offers for the 26-year-old.

On Friday, Corriere dello Sport stated Leeds in talks with Udinese after their first bid of €17m was turned down. They also said the Italian club are aiming to collect €25m for the defender.

Udinese Blog report on the work done by Daniel Farke’s side to try and secure the centre-back’s services.

The Slovenia international is convinced about joining the Championship winners. The report further adds he’s given his approval to Leeds after reaching an agreement with them.

It’s pointed out the English club’s €17m bid has been rejected and have to make further effort to reach an agreement with Udinese. The Pozzo family, who own the club, are said to want at least €20m, which is €5m less than the figure quoted by Corriere.

Tutto Udinese also report Bijol has said ‘Ok’ to Leeds, who secured promotion to the Premier League. The two clubs have to find an agreement and negotiations are ongoing.

They state Leeds’ initial offer was €16m and Udinese would like to collect €20m for Bijol. Tutto Udinese feel Leeds could get ‘closer to a white smoke’ [close to agreeing terms] if they raise their offer to €18m.
