West Ham United have entered the battle with Inter Milan for Udinese’s Lazar Samardžić, according to reports from Italy.
The two Italian clubs had agreed a deal for the midfielder and the last details are missing to make the transfer official.
On Friday, reports in England talked about West Ham’s interest in the 21-year-old. This is relayed by Calciomercato, who then give their own take on his situation.
The player’s father and his representative arrived at Inter’s headquarters on Friday to sort out the agent commission. It’s said the parties couldn’t find an agreement at yesterday’s meeting.
In fact, Calciomercato state the ‘tables have turned’ and the deal to take Samardžić to the San Siro has ‘slowed down considerably’. That’s partly because the Serbia international’ father took charge of the operation after ‘dismissing Rafaela Pimenta’.
This is why the terms of the agreement have changed. It doesn’t mean a move to Inter is off the table but they have to evaluate the new conditions and also consider the ‘inclusion of West Ham’ in the transfer race.
Corriere dello Sport state the ‘scenarios have changed’ in the operation to take the player to Inter and the main problem is related to agent commission. The operation has become complicated after Samardžić’s father changed the conditions of the agreement.
It’s said Inter face the ‘risk’ of losing out on the player, especially with the ‘inclusion of West Ham’. Corriere make it clear that David Moyes’ side, for now, are in the ‘background’.
There will be more clarity on this case next week and West Ham joining the battle could be one of the reasons the deal has become complicated for Inter.
