On Monday, we covered claims from Portugal of Sporting CP being interested in Chiquinho.
Wolves loaned the winger to Famalicão for the majority of last season, having recalled him from a temporary spell at Stoke City. The 24-year-old split his time between either side of the pitch and scored five goals and contributed four assists over 27 Liga Portugal matches.
The claims around Sporting explained Chiquinho is valued at around €10m and such a figure wasn’t deemed to be unreachable. Later in the day, SC Braga were linked and it was insinuated they’d rather take the player on loan.
A Bola cover Braga interest in their Tuesday edition, and say the Wolves player is valued at around €3m, going on to insinuate a permanent transfer could be done around that figure.
However, the Portuguese club may move for a loan instead, although A Bola don’t mention any figures related to that.
There’s an insistence any deal would have nothing to do with Wolves buying Rodrigo Gomes from Braga for around €15m.
Should Chiquinho move for anything like €3m, or on a free loan, when there’s likely better offers available elsewhere, then that insistence of there being no connection would be difficult to believe.
