Carlos Miguel has been limited to a back-up role since joining Nottingham Forest from Corinthians last summer.

The goalkeeper has made three appearances for the Reds this season and all of those came in cup competitions. Matz Sels has been the first-choice stopper for Nuno Espírito Santo in the Premier League.

According to RTI Esporte, Miguel’s agent Gilmar Veloz insists that his client is ‘happy’ at Nottingham Forest.

The 26-year-old’s situation at Nottingham Forest has seen a few Brazilian clubs look at the possibility of bringing him back to the country.

He ‘doesn’t rule out’ the possibility of moving back to Brazil in the summer window while there’s also interest in Europe.

The report focuses on Cruzeiro’s interest, likely led by their manager, Leonardo Jardim. He wanted to sign the current Nottingham Forest player for AS Monaco when he was at the Ligue 1 club.

Jardim considers Miguel as one of the best Brazilian goalkeepers abroad. RTI Esporte report he’s asked Cruzeiro executive director Alexandre Mattos to evaluate the possibility of signing the goalkeeper.

On Thursday, the Brazilian club made an approach for the South American, but talks haven’t progressed into negotiations so far. There could be developments if Miguel were to seriously consider leaving Nottingham Forest in the next window.
