Palmeiras were keen on signing Fulham’s Andreas Pereira in the winter market, after chasing him for a couple of months or so.

Palmeiras president Leila Pereira had publicly stated her side wanted to sign the 29-year-old. Last month, the Brazilian club’s manager, Abel Ferreira, expressed his disappointment over missing out on the midfielder, after giving his approval.

Pereira’s future at Fulham beyond this season seems to be uncertain if Bolavip Brasil are to be believed.

The former Manchester United man has just over 15 months left on his contract, with an option for another year.

According to the report, the Brazil international ‘refuses to renew’ his contract at Fulham. This has seen Marco Silva’s side make him available in the market for the summer window.

The Premier League club are willing to sell him if there are ‘good financial conditions’, and the report doesn’t mention any figures.

Bolavip state unnamed clubs are keeping an eye on his situation while Palmeiras could also return for the player in the next window.

Pereira was a starter under Marco Silva in the first half of the season and has been in and out of the starting lineup this year. He’s played 1,842 minutes from 29 games for Fulham this season.
