Borussia Mönchengladbach have rekindled their interest in Rangers’ Nicolas Raskin and would try to take him away from Ibrox in the summer window.

That’s according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, and he covers the German club’s interest in the midfielder, relayed by Walfoot.

He claims Gladbach wanted the Rangers player last summer but doesn’t explain why they couldn’t secure his services.

The journalist states the Bundesliga club are ‘ready to sign’ the 24-year-old again in the next window. There’s no mention whether Rangers or the Belgium international are open to doing business with Gladbach.

On Thursday, the Rangers player gave an interview to RTBF expressing his desire to make a move to a ‘big club’.

It’s unclear whether Mönchengladbach are big enough for Raskin. They are in eighth spot, trailing sixth placed SC Freiburg by three points and six behind fourth placed RB Leipzig.

Apart from Gladbach, other unnamed German clubs are in the picture to take him away from Rangers. The Bundesliga is likely to be Raskin’s next destination and whether that’s the case needs to be seen.

Raskin managed two goals and seven assists from 43 games for the Scottish club this season.
