Last week, Tipsbladet stated Tottenham Hotspur are a ‘big suitor’ to sign Roony Bardghji.
Inter Milan are also in the picture for the winger who has scored 11 goals from 30 games this season.
That’s according to InterLive.it, who say the 18-year-old has attracted the attention of several clubs, including Inter, Juventus, Napoli and Tottenham.
Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio has the player on his target list but has not yet taken steps for a potential deal.
The Sweden U21 international is managed by British agency, CAA Base, and their client list includes James Maddison, Pedro Porro, Son Heung-min and several others. The Nerazzurri have a good relationship with the agency and also with Copenhagen.
It’s claimed a fee around €10m is needed to convince the Danish club to part ways with Bardghji. Ausilio’s idea is to take him on a loan deal with an obligation to buy, but Inter will face ‘strong competition’ from other clubs.
The report states Spurs could ‘get serious’ about signing the attacker as early as January. The north London club have already registered interest in him at the ‘explicit request of Ange Postecoglou’.
Tottenham are looking to strengthen their attack and the one the manager ‘likes the most’ is the Copenhagen star. However, the Spurs management have doubts over Bardghji’s physique. He’s described him as ‘short [1.73m] and skinny’.
Bryan Gil [1.75m] has struggled to impress since joining Spurs and it’s said they are looking to avoid repeating the same mistake with Bardghji.
It’ll be interesting to see what Tottenham plan to do next, considering Postecoglou likes Bardghji a lot.
