Everton will need at least €20m if they wish to sign Davinson Sanchez from Galatasaray this summer.

That’s according to journalist Pipe Sierra, via Fanatik, who has revealed the Turkish side’s asking price for the Colombian defender.

Fanatik cover the situation today and the ‘shock of departure’ that may be set to hit the Turkish club in the summer transfer window.

They explain that following reports that Sanchez wants to leave Galatasaray this summer, amid a feeling that he ‘did not get the value he deserved’ at the club, in other words he wasn’t being paid enough, Galatasaray have now put a price on his head.

They cite Pipe Sierra as report that the Turkish side want a fee of €20m for their defensive star. They do not make it clear where he said this, and he hasn’t published that information himself on his social media channels so far.

Fanatik then speculate who could be interested, stating that it has already been claimed that several teams from Spain are keen while Everton and Fiorentina are ‘closely following’ the player’s situation.

Now Everton’s interest is nothing new as they were linked with a move throughout last summer’s transfer window and even made a bid of €20m at one point. They were even encouraged to keep going by Sanchez himself, who made it clear that he would be open to returning to the Premier League.

Now it seems they’re likely to find themselves being linked again, although €20m for a 29-year-old with a very ropey history in England would be a bold move to take.
