Everton may want to secure themselves a better deal for Carlos Alcaraz this summer if they are to sign him on a permanent deal.
That’s according to Torcida Flamengo and journalist Fabrício Lopes, who cover the situation around the midfielder.
Alcaraz is currently on loan at Everton and the deal includes a clause which will turn it into an obligation if he plays a certain number of games.
All indications have been that Everton will look to avoid that, with the player in and out of the side under David Moyes so far. The belief is that the Toffees would like to re-negotiate the terms of the deal, with it believed the current clause is at around €15m.
Lopes reports that, regardless of what happens, Alcaraz does not want to return to Brazil and Flamengo do not want him back either. Thus, there is a deal to be done with someone.
Everton, for their part, may want to make an offer for him for vales ‘even lower’ than those currently established in his loan contract. There are other European teams interested in the Argentine too.
There is very much a deal there to be done for all three parties, with Alcaraz and Flamengo seemingly done with each other, but Everton perhaps wanting to save some money on any permanent deal.
