Since joining Everton on loan from Sporting last summer, Ruben Vinagre only had 204 minutes on the pitch. Those were played in four games, between August and November, and he wasn’t used by the Toffees again.

That clearly means the Goodison Park side shouldn’t be keen on signing him on a permanent transfer, and Portuguese newspaper O Jogo today features a story about his future.

The outlet says Vinagre is ‘not satisfied’ with this situation at Everton, and will ‘try to find another club’ to play for.

The big problem for him is that Sporting are not interested in having him back either, so he’ll need to move somewhere else. O Jogo say he’s likely to play outside of his home country, since the ‘second tier’ clubs in Portugal can’t afford his wages.

The Lions spent €10m on his signing, with Wolverhampton Wanderers keeping 50% of a future sale, and would now try to recover part of that money.

Despite his short playing time at Everton, it’s still claimed he’s been approached by ‘several’ European clubs and should now analyse the offers he has for next season.

Prior to his arrival at the Toffees, the fullback had played for Sporting, Monaco, Academica, Wolves, Olympiacos and Famalicão.
