Fotomac report Besiktas are still looking to re-sign their former player Cenk Tosun this summer but they will need to convince Everton to part ways with the forward.

The Turkish international has fallen down the pecking order at Everton, with Marco Silva preferring others ahead of him.

However, Fotomac report the Premier League club may be looking to keep him for next season as he’s seen as an important squad member.

The player himself recently told the Turkish media he wanted to stay at Goodison Park for a long time and has no plans to return to the Super Lig.

According to Fotomac, if Everton decide to send him out on loan then Besiktas will make and attempt to sign him for next season… but that’s considered unlikely at this stage.

Tosun has played only 960 minutes of Premier League football in this campaign and scored two goals.

The 27 year old is under contract at Everton until June 2022.
