Real Madrid midfielder Isco is likely to end up in the Premier League, specifically with Everton, should he leave the club in January.
That’s according to La Razón, who say that ‘everything seems to indicate’ that if Isco were to leave on loan in the winter window, then the Premier League looks likely to be his destination.
In that regard, Everton are waiting and ‘dream of his signing’, having been linked regularly in the last few weeks.
Whether that happens remains to be seen, but their chances have already been given a boost as the Real Madrid man has turned down both Sevilla and Juventus.
La Razón cite radio show Jugones, who have revealed that Isco turned down Sevilla due to an ‘economic issue’.
They explained that the midfielder currently earns €6m a year, so would cost around €3m in wages for the half-season loan.
However, Sevilla don’t have that ‘salary margin’ available in their current finances and so had to rule out a move.
Juventus, meanwhile, are out of the running as Isco doesn’t believe that Serie A would ‘suit his characteristics’.
If he is to leave Madrid, he would prefer to go to a league and a team that would be to ‘his liking’ and preferably one where he is ‘guaranteed ownership’ because he wants to fight for a place in Spain’s squad for the Euros.
Everton could certainly offer him the first-team football he craves and Real Madrid, for their part, are ‘willing to facilitate’ his departure as they want to ‘revalue’ the player so they can sell in the summer.
