Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti has been linked with a return to Real Madrid, according to reports coming out of Spain.
Cadena Ser report that four days ago, Los Blancos initiated contacted with the Toffees coach.
The Italian is not the main target to become Zinedine Zidane’s successor, but he’s one of the options considered by the La Liga side.
From Ancelotti’s entourage, they insist the option to return to Santiago Bernabéu is something he ‘cannot refuse’. The Merseyside club, for their part, have started searching for a new manager, to be preapred if the 61-year-old decides to leave Goodison Park.
Claims made by Cadena Ser are relayed in today’s edition of AS and they explain the Premier League side are looking for a new manager in case the ex-Chelsea boss leaves the club.
AS then provide their own information and explain the English club have ‘been offered’ Nuno Espírito Santo.
That’s about the only update they provide about the Portuguese coach, who stepped down as Wolverhampton Wanderers manager at the end of the season.
