Last month, L’Equipe reported RC Strasbourg’s Habib Diarra is being courted by Everton and Brighton & Hove Albion.

Wiw Sport backs up the Premier League duo’s interest in the midfielder and then provides the latest on this case.

Diarra has been operating in the middle of the pitch and as an attacking midfielder this season, managing four goals and five assists from 32 games. He’s attracting interest from Everton, Brighton and Stade Rennais.

The Ligue 1 club are prioritising a move for the 21-year-old in the summer window. The operation is complicated for them but are still working behind the scenes to try and sign him.

Loïc Désiré has been heading Strasbourg’s recruitment since 2014. On Thursday, the club confirmed his exit, and he’s set to join Stade Rennais. This may help the latter to sign the Senegal international.

Everton and Brighton have been following the player for a while and the report states they are ‘ready to make their move’.

Wiw Sport state clubs from France and England are actively ‘working to secure’ Diarra’s services in the upcoming window. His contract lasts until 2028 and he’s valued at €20m, which should be within the Toffees and the Seagulls reach.
